To scrunch straight hair, it is necessary to add some waves to help create a texture that can be scrunched. Washing, braiding and scrunching your hair helps you create scrunchable straight hair overnight.

1. Wash the hair but don't dry it

   Use a volumizing shampoo to wash your hair; avoid moisturizing shampoos. Do not dry the hair; just towel-dry it.

2. Braid the hair

   Section and braid your hair while it is still wet. Tie the ends with elastic. Sleep on the damp hair overnight.

3. Scrunch the hair

   Apply a small amount of gel or mousse to the hair, starting from the ends and working up, but stopping within 2 inches of the scalp. Scrunch the hair by crumpling it from the bottom of each section and working up the hair shaft.
