Mango, pawpaw, fresh or dried coconut, bananas, apples, pineapple, strawberries, melons, grapes and raisins are suitable food for hermit crabs. They can also be fed vegetables such as leafy green lettuce varieties, spinach, watercress, carrots and broccoli. Apart from fruit, the meals of hermit crabs can include freeze-dried shrimp, poultry, fish-food flakes and strips of bark and leaves from deciduous trees.
