How do you season green beans?

One pound of green beans can be seasoned with garlic cloves, kosher salt and ground black pepper. The recipe also requires bacon grease, an onion, chicken broth and a red bell pepper.
- Prepare the green beans and the cooking surface
Remove the stems from the green beans. Coat a skillet with the bacon grease, and set it on a range over medium-low heat.
- Add the garlic and onions
Take two cloves of minced garlic, and chop up one large onion. Place these items in the skillet, and allow them to cook for approximately one minute.
- Put the green beans in the skillet
Toss the green beans into the skillet. They should cook for another minute or until their color shifts to a bright green.
- Include the final ingredients and cook
Put one cup of chicken broth, 1/2 a cup of chopped red bell pepper, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of kosher salt and ground black pepper in the skillet with the green beans. Cover it with a lid, but leave the lid cracked and turn the heat to low. The green beans should cook for 20 to 30 minutes or until the chicken broth dissipates. Additional chicken broth can be added, but do not let it entirely cook away, or the peppers and onions may caramelize.
