Is series one of "Borgen" available to watch online?

The first season of the Danish TV series "Borgen" is available on iTunes, which began offering the show for streaming in September 2015. While the pilot episode is free, the remaining episodes must be purchased. As of December 2015, no other streaming service offers the series for American consumers.

"Borgen" is a Danish television series that critics have compared in plot to the American series "The West Wing." The series follows the premiership of the first female Prime Minister of Denmark.

The series' name literally translates as "castle" in English, and it is the name of the building in which the Danish parliament meets. The series ran for three seasons and had a total of 30 episodes.
