What services does ACS Education offer?

ACS Education Services is a student loan servicing company. They mostly deal in student loans backed by the federal government, including Stafford, Perkins and FFELP loans.

ACS is not a direct lender. They instead partner with a school's preferred lenders to service loans and collect student payments. Schools that partner with ACS use their AppWorks Loan Origination Platform to process student applications and manage loans. ACS then manages payments on behalf of the money lender. Borrowers can use a Web-based system to make payments and apply for forbearance and deferments. ACS was acquired by Xerox in 2010 and provides other business outsourcing products.
