G4S is a global company with worldwide reach, and employees over 50,000 employees in the U.S. alone. With many acquisitions of separate security firms, today they have vertical operations in the nuclear industry, government, financial institutions, airports, sea ports, transit and logistics. The Wackenhut security company was the second-largest security firm in the U.S. when G4S Secure Solutions purchased them in 2002.
