How do you set up a backgammon game?

To set up a backgammon board, each player must arrange 15 checkers: two checkers on the 24 point, five checkers each on the 13 and 6 points and three checkers on the 8 point. The 24 narrow triangles on the backgammon board are the "points," numbered one to 24.
Each player in a backgammon game has his own pair of dice and a dice cup at the set-up of the game. In addition, the game includes a "doubling" cube, which is marked with the numbers two, four, eight, 16, 32 and 64. The doubling cube is used to keep track of the game's current stake. The object of the game is to get all of the checkers into your home board, and then bear them off.
