A Shiloh shepherd is a mixed-breed dog. It is similar in appearance to the German shepherd, but it is smaller and has much smaller ears.
The Shiloh shepherd was first bred in the early 1970s. This breed is known for its steady temperament. It is gentle, loving and trainable, yet powerful and protective. Shiloh shepherds are intelligent, like to keep active and have a strong work ethic. They are good with children and are sometimes used as service dogs.
Shiloh shepherds are big and sturdy yet lean, with pointed ears, almond-shaped eyes and bushy tails. They can be smooth-coated or plush-coated and come in a variety of colors, including brown, tan, black and silver.
