Should you drink decaf coffee during pregnancy?

Drinking moderate amounts of caffeine, including decaf coffee, is not shown to have adverse effects during pregnancy. The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists published this committee opinion as of August 2010, with a re-affirmation in 2013.
The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists considers a “moderate†amount of caffeine to be less than 200 milligrams daily. This is equivalent to about two brewed cups of regular coffee or one to two lattes or speciality drinks. Decaffeinated coffee is relatively low in caffeine in comparison. According to Mayo Clinic, brewed decaffeinated coffee contains between 2 and 12 milligrams of coffee per 8-ounce cup.
