When should a dryer be cleaned?
By Forinfos - 22/03/2026 - 0 comments
The lint trap of a dryer should be cleaned after each load, the interior of a dryer should be cleaned at least three times a year, and the duct should be cleaned annually. Regular cleaning improves a dryer's efficiency and reduces the risk of fire hazards.
The dryer's interior can be cleaned by using a vacuum nozzle to pull out loose dirt and wiping out the drum with a damp rag. Moisture sensors also should be wiped off so that they can accurately register when clothes are dry. Cleaning the dryer duct involves removing the duct, pulling out lint buildup and vacuuming the vent area.
