How do I sign up for an eBay account?

To sign up for an eBay account, go to the eBay registration page, enter your name and email address, review and accept the User Agreement and User Privacy policies, view the confirmation email that eBay sends to you, and log in to your new eBay account. The entire process takes less than 15 minutes.

1. Go to the eBay registration page

   Visit the eBay website, and click the Register link located on the top left corner of the page.

2. Enter your name, email address and password

   Enter your first name, last name and email address in the designated spaces, and create a password for your account.

3. Review the User Agreement and Privacy Policy

   Look over the User Agreement and Privacy Policy to gain a better understanding of how the site works and to minimize your chances of making an error that can cause your account to be deactivated. After reviewing these documents, click Submit to confirm your acceptance of eBay's rules and policies.

4. View the confirmation email

   Check the email account associated with the address you listed on the registration page. Review the confirmation email sent by eBay, and jot down the user ID that eBay creates for you.

5. Log in to your eBay account

   Go back to eBay's main page, and click the Sign in link. Enter your user ID and the password you created on the registration page to log in to your account.
