What is the significance of a cleft chin?

In the ancient face-interpretation system of morphology, a cleft chin signifies vanity and dishonesty. A dimpled chin, on the other hand, implies a desire for harmony.
Meanwhile, a double chin, or "dewlap," is thought to be a beneficial attribute, contributing to a person's overall strength and stamina.
Despite its dubious veracity, morphology is still used in an auxiliary capacity by some psychotherapists, who view it as a means of relieving people's guilt for their behavior.
It is thought to have originated among the ancient Egyptians. Morphology was used to make diagnoses even as late as the Renaissance, although by this point it was being superseded by new scientific understanding.
