What is Sim City?

Originally created by game developer Will Wright, Sim City is an open-ended video game that provides players with the chance to design, construct and maintain a virtual city. There have been a number of squeals since the first Sim City video game was published in 1989.

In SimCity, players are tasked with improving the happiness of citizens, balancing a financial budget and dealing with other concerns related to city development. Sequels to the original game have seen additional features including the ability to modify terrain, enhanced graphics and the ability to play against other people. Spin-off games include The Sims which is one of the most popular computer games of all time.
