What is the size of fungi?

Fungi range in size from a single-celled organism, such as yeast, to a 3.5-mile-wide mushroom located in Oregon's Malheur National Forest. This honey mushroom covers more than 2,200 acres of the forest floor and is dubbed "the humongous fungus."
Fungi are classified as eukaryotic organisms. Their DNA is enclosed in a nucleus. Fungi do not make their own food from sunlight. Fungi can be found in many locations such as on moldy bread, in rising bread, on forest floors and on some plants and animals. Fungi are basically static but can spread from either forming reproductive spores or by growing and extending their hyphae, or threads.
