Skin disorders look like pustules, rashes, cysts and bumps, according to the American Academy of Dermatology. Some types of skin disorders form welts, resemble moles and even look like burns.

One type of psoriasis called erythrodermic psoriasis makes the skin look like it is burned, says the American Academy of Dermatology. This is considered a medical emergency. Hives begin as a rash and can turn into welts that are so large that they join together over the skin.

Skin cancers often begin as odd-looking moles, according to Skin Cancer Foundation. These moles may be different colors. They may be asymmetrical and unusually. Skin cancers also start as bumps or dry, scaly patches on the skin. Acne presents as pustules and cysts, says WebMD.
