What are skull stencils?

A stencil skull refers to a thin shit of metal, plastic or cardboard with a pattern of a skull cut out of it. It can be used to produce the skull design on surfaces by spraying paint through the perforations.

Most artists who paint skulls prefer to use airbrush because it captures all the subtleties and gradations of a skull. Besides, airbrushing using a skull stencil has made custom painting easy for artists with few drawing skills. The stencil is secured on the painting surface using pieces of tape before spraying on the surface. Stencils of skulls are applicable on different surfaces such as t-shirts, models and cars.
