By Forinfos - 25/03/2025 - 0 comments
Smokeless fuels are manufactured solid fuels that have been altered to produce lower smoke levels when burnt. Smokeless fuels are significantly better for the environment and comply with the Clean Air Acts of 1956 and 1968.
Smokeless fuels are largely used in smoke control areas in large cities and towns, where pollution is high. Smokeless fuels can be used in open fires or closed appliances. Natural binders are normally used to assure the carbon footprint left is low. Smokeless fuels last up to 40 percent longer than coal and produce up to 20 percent less carbon dioxide. Smokeless fuels are highly efficient, with a rating of 65 percent, compared to coal's rating of 28 percent.
