Snapchat, although controversial at times, is one of the most popular mobile apps in the world. It allows users to take and send photos that can only be seen by the recipient for a few seconds before they disappear.

Because of the way it works, it has become controversial because it allows easy sexting and bullying. It has spurred the FBI to issue warnings to parents about the possibility that pedophiles have been using the app to view underage children.
