What are soot blowers used for?
By Forinfos - 23/09/2025 - 0 comments
Soot blowers are used to remove ash and soot deposits on heat exchanges in boilers. Soot blowers can be custom-manufactured based on the characteristics of a particular boiler.
Soot blowers increase and maintain the efficiency of boilers. Steam, emitted as a high-velocity jet from the soot blower, cleans the surfaces within a boiler. There are retractable soot blowers that can be used for cleaning heat exchangers within industrial, waste, biomass and power boilers. There are also wall blowers, used mainly to clean furnace walls. Maintaining a clean boiler with a soot blower reduces emissions, controls operating costs, and lowers fuel costs.
