When do Spanish children receive their Christmas presents?
By Forinfos - 21/10/2025 - 0 comments
Children in Spain open a few of their Christmas presents on Dec. 25. However, most of them are opened on Jan. 6, which is called "Epiphany."
Epiphany is also known as "The festival of The Three Magic Kings." When translated into Spanish, it is "Fiesta de Los Tres Reyes Mages." There are parades held in some towns of Spain to celebrate the three kings. The Spanish kings are known as "Gaspar," "Melchior" and "Balthazar," who represent frankincense, gold and myrrh. Traditionally, children write letters on Dec. 26, asking the kings for presents. These presents are left out on Epiphany Eve, Jan. 5.
