Are there special cleaning supplies needed to clean a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker?

Special cleaning supplies are not required to clean a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. Mr. Coffee recommends washing the filter basket, permanent filter, decanter and decanter basket in a solution of mild liquid soap and water.

The glass decanter, its lid, filter and filter basket can be washed in the top rack of a dishwasher. The water filter dish should not be cleaned in the dishwasher. Mr. Coffee advises turning the coffeemaker off, unplugging it and allowing it to cool down completely before cleaning it. To prevent damaging the coffeemaker, do not immerse it in any liquid or place it in the dishwasher. Additional cleaning details may apply to certain units.
