Are there specific tools for safely removing blackheads?

Blackhead extractor tools are stainless steel tools with loops on one or both ends. Pore strips also remove blackheads by pulling the entrapped dirt out of the pore.

Stainless steel blackhead extracting tools remove blackheads by pushing the trapped dirt and sebum out of the skin. Pore strips have an adhesive on one side. The adhesive pulls the trapped blackhead out of the skin. Before using either removal tool, cleanse the skin to help loosen the pores. After removing the blackheads, wash the skin again to prevent bacteria from reentering the pores.

Blackheads are blocked pores that are open and exposed to air, turning them black. Trapped oil, bacteria and dead skin cells cause blackheads.
