What do spider veins look like?
By Forinfos - 06/05/2026 - 0 comments
Spider veins can look like the branches of a tree, a starburst pattern or individual thread-like streaks. They are web-like networks of blood vessels that appear on the feet or legs. Spider veins are caused by previously unseen veins near the surface of the skin becoming stretched out.
Although they are often harmless, spider veins may cause pain when sitting or standing for a long time. Their appearance can also be a cosmetic concern, and they can possibly appear on the chest, back, face or arms. Spider veins can be removed by laser surgery or by a procedure called sclerotherapy, in which a solution is injected into the vein to cause it to close.
