What is the temperature of a Bunsen burner flame?

There are three primary flame temperatures that scientists use, including 300 degrees Celsius, 500 degrees and 700 degrees. On a Bunsen burner, the lowest temperature is the safety flame, and this is light orange. The middle temperature has a blue flame, while the highest temperature is the roaring light blue flame.

In laboratories, the middle blue flame is what scientists use the most. When a room has a lot of light, it is hard to see this flame. The safety flame is something scientists use just to show that the burner has a flame. The hottest flame makes noise when it is on.
