What is SSD solution?

An SSD solution refers to the upgrading of a computer's standard hard disk drive, or HDD, to a solid-state drive (SDD). SSDs offer great benefits over HDDs, such as no moving parts, faster data retrieval and lower energy consumption.
Solid-state drives have been in use since the '70s, but the cost of manufacturing them has kept them from being a viable option for personal computing. As technology has advanced, SSDs are becoming more affordable and mainstream with computer makers. SSDs fall into the category of non-volatile storage because data is stored as flash memory and does not need a constant power supply to retain data.
