A standard law includes Sec. 36-94 of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana's code that stipulates it is unlawful to park a motor vehicle on the street directly opposite of a driveway, according to MuniCode. Additionally, vehicles must be within three feet of the curb return located next to a driveway.
Montgomery County in Maryland hosts a law that vehicles must be at least five feet from a driveway to promote the county's residential character of neighborhoods, explains the Montgomery County government. Residents are advised to call the non-emergency police number so a ticket can be issued and the vehicle can be moved or towed to enforce the law.
