What is the Staples "Easy Rebate" program?

Staples Easy Rebates is a paperless, online submission process for rebates. The company claims that almost every product that has a rebate offer can be handled through the Easy Rebates website.

Staples Easy Rebates may halve the normal time it takes to get a rebate check outside of the Christmas holiday season. Customers use the rebate redemption form they received at the cash register to submit their rebates online. Multiple rebates can be submitted simultaneously. Rebates that require mailing the product UPC to the manufacturer cannot be processed through the Easy Rebates website. Rebates may be received in the form of a Visa prepaid card or Staples gift card instead of a check.
