Super Bowl XLV between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers kicked off at 6:30 p.m. EST. The contest was played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011.
The Packers jumped to a 14-0 first quarter lead and held off a late rally to defeat the Steelers 31-25. The Packers were led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who threw for 304 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions to capture Most Valuable Player honors. Jordy Nelson and Greg Jennings were his top targets, combining for 13 catches, 204 yards and all three passing touchdowns.
The halftime show of the annual football blockbuster featured the Black Eyed Peas, Slash and Usher.
