Democrat Tom Wolf ran for governor of Pennsylvania. He became the 47th governor of Pennsylvania on January 20, 2015.
Wolf went to Dartmouth college. During his time there, he took a break from study and joined the Peace Corps, where he spent 2 years in a small village in India. He earned his masters from the University of London and his Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Wolf's introduction to politics was under former Governor Robert P. Casey, where he served on an environmental board and the Pennsylvania Legislative Commission on Urban Schools. Before running for governor, he served as Secretary of Revenue of Pennsylvania under Governor Ed Rendell.
