What are the steps to make your own baby wipes?

To make a basic homemade baby wipe takes only a few ingredients and tools: a roll of paper towels, a sharp knife, a resealable plastic or glass container, 2 1/4 cups of water, 1 tablespoon of baby oil, and 2 tablespoons of baby wash or shampoo. This task takes less than 30 minutes.

1. Cut the paper towel roll

   Using the sharp knife, cut the paper towel roll in half. Place the paper towels in a resealable plastic container.

2. Mix the wet ingredients

   Boil 2 1/4 cups of water, and cool it to room temperature. In a separate container, mix 2 tablespoons of baby wash or shampoo, 1 tablespoon of baby oil or mineral oil, and the 2 1/4 cups of water.

3. Pour the mixture over the paper towels

   Pour the wet mixture over the paper towel roll. Remove the inner cardboard tube; it is easier to pull out when it is wet. Let it sit in the sealed container. Make sure that all of the paper towels are wet. When you need a baby wipe, pull from the center of the roll, and make sure that the lid is closed tight after each use to ensure that the paper towels do not dry out.
