A secretary desk hutch should include wide drawers that start from the bottom of the unit, a desk in the middle and a bookcase at the top of the unit. There are a variety of different sized secretary desk hutches available from companies such as IKEA and Wayfair.

One of the unique features of a secretary desk hutch is how it blends into the environment. Most pieces do not appear to be a desk unit and instead just look like a storage piece. However, once the top half of the hutch is opened up, there is a table that can be pulled out and flipped over in order to create a desk.
