What is a subjective point of view?
By Forinfos - 11/04/2026 - 0 comments
A subjective point of view is an opinion based on unscientific and immeasurable personal beliefs, emotions and interpretations rather than on facts. Subjective point of view is most often encountered in creative writing, forum comments, blog posts, social media posts, newspaper editorials and biographies.
Using a subjective point of view is not suitable for writing or reporting news stories, or writing reference books or academic papers, which need to be objective and based on measurable and observable facts.
In creative writing, the author uses a subjective point of view to share what the characters are thinking and feeling with the readers.
