What is super saver shipping?

Super Saver Shipping is a service offered by Amazon that ships items at no charge if the customer's order reaches a minimum price threshold. The minimum order price was raised from $25 to $35 in 2013 due to rising transportation costs.

The items in the order must be either sold or fulfilled by Amazon to qualify for free shipping, although certain items don't qualify. All items in the qualifying order must go to the same address, and delivery takes between five and eight business days. Amazon also offers a membership program, Amazon Prime, that offers free two-day shipping on all orders. The program costs $79 a year as of 2014.
