Trisodium phosphate is a powerful, versatile cleaner, and is well-suited for many surfaces such as brick, stone, cement and wood. It used to be more popular before people became aware of potential dangers to the environment and their personal health.
Diluted TSP is ideal for exterior surfaces that have yet to be painted, but can damage bathroom surfaces like metals and ceramic tiles. When it's mixed with bleach it removes all mold and mildew. It can be administered by spraying it onto a surface, or using a brush or sponge. It is important to wear long sleeves, gloves and goggles, and to make sure the area is well-ventilated.
