Is there any surviving pictorial evidence of the Babylon King Nebuchadnezzar?

There is no surviving pictorial evidence of the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar II from the period of his lifetime. However, his likeness has appeared in a number of paintings and depictions since his death. William Blake's famous 1795 painting of the king depicts him as part man and part animal.

Additional paintings and depictions of the king include Daniel Before Nebuchadnezzar, a painting by Salomon Koninck, and a Baroque-era depiction of the king fighting against King Zedekiah of Judah, which sits in Zwiefalten Abbey, Germany.

King Nebuchadnezzar II, who lived from approximately 634 to 562 B.C., ruled Babylon and controlled most of the Mesopotamian peninsula while defeating the Egyptians and Assyrians.
