What is synthetic oil?

Synthetic oil is a motor lubricant that is not derived from common crude oil. The base of synthetic oil is made from synthetic stocks known as Polyalphaolifen.
Synthetic oils have a long list of benefits, such as their performance in extreme temperatures. Synthetic oils are not made from crude oil and instead use the Fischer-Tropsch process to break down raw materials, such as methane, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, to create the base materials.
Synthetic oils are cleaner than crude oil. While crude oil may leave carbon deposits inside the engine ports, synthetic oil manages to clean them over time. Both mix together without any problems.
