AT&T offers the Senior Nation Plan, which is available to customers age 65 or older and offers special features and benefits for a low monthly cost. The plan is restricted to certain devices. Smartphones and tablets are not eligible for this service, as of 2015.
The plan features different allotments of available minutes depending on who the customer calls and when the customer uses the phone. It includes nationwide long distance and voicemail as well as popular features such as Caller ID, call waiting and call forwarding. There is an additional charge if the customer exceeds the allotted minutes. Seniors sign up for the plan through the AT&T website or through local AT&T stores.
