What do you do with your tadpole once it begins to develop into a frog?

As your tadpole undergoes metamorphosis into an adult frog, it is very important to provide simple access from the water to land. Since gills stop functioning with the onset of lungs, developing animals may drown if they are unable to easily climb to land.
According to Lianne McLeod, DVM, partially submerged rocks, sticks and wood should be placed in the water to provide a stable ramp to land. Form a gradual slope to solid ground with the bottom gravel to further ease the transition. Lower the water level in the tank and feed your newly developed frogs a diet of bloodworms, fruits flies, crickets and other small insects.
