What is "Talking Angela"?

Talking Angela is an app developed by Outfit7 for children and teens. The main character, a cat named Angela, repeats what the user says and reacts when the screen is tapped or swiped.

When the child mode is turned off, the user may chat-text with Angela. Angela asks a variety of questions, such as the user's name and age. When the camera is used with the app, Angela mimics the user's facial expressions. Parents may think it is not appropriate for children; however, anything that is said by the user while using the app stays inside the app and may not be uploaded elsewhere..
