The confirmed tallest woman ever was Zeng Jinlian of China, who was 8 feet 1.75 inches in height. She had a severely deformed spine that prevented her from standing up to her full height, and she passed away at the age of 17 in 1982.

Until her death in 2012, Yao Defen of China was the tallest woman in the world with a confirmed height of 7 feet 8 inches tall.
