Does Target hire felons?

Target hires felons to work in its stores and in its corporate headquarters as of 2014. In fact, the company does not include questions on its job application about a person's criminal background.
In 2013, Target started removing questions about a person's criminal background from some of its applications. In spring 2014, it applied the change to the company as a whole. However, the company maintains its right to run a background check on applicants, to keep stores safe and to protect its property. Even if a background check turns up an applicant's criminal history, Target doesn't disqualify that person for employment, according to a Target spokesperson.
