How do you add people on Skype?

How you add contacts on Skype varies based on the type of computer or phone platform you are using. To add contacts on a Windows platform, sign into your Skype account, then select the Add Contacts icon. Enter the name or email of the person you want to add, click on his profile and then click Add to Contacts.

1. Sign into your Skype account

   Sign into Skype using your Skype name and password.

2. Click on the Add Contacts icon

   Look for the Add Contacts icon, which looks like a person with a plus sign next to it.

3. Search for the person you wish to add

   Type in the person's full name, Skype name or email address in the search box that pops up.

4. Add the contact

   Click on the profile of the person you want to add to your contacts. If more than one profile pops up, scroll through the list of profiles until you find the one you are looking for. Click on Add to Contacts, which is highlighted in blue in the upper right corner of the profile window.

5. Send a contact request

   Write a greeting to the contact in the window that pops up, letting the person know you are adding him to your contact list. A prepared greeting is usually already written, which you can also use. Click the Send button. The person is now in your contacts, but his icon only shows up as a question mark until he accepts your contact request.
