Which is best, LCD or LED TV?

Standard LCD televisions use a series of cold cathode fluorescent lights to illuminate the screen from behind. LED televisions can be lit from behind or edge lit. Back-lit LED televisions offer better contrast and sharpness than edge-lit models. LED televisions that are back lit are thicker than edge-lit models because the lighting is behind the screen.

Another type of television, called OLED, produces better picture quality than LED and LCD. OLED televisions are more expensive than LED televisions.
