How do you measure television screen size?

To measure television screen size, place the hook of a retractable tape measure at one corner of the screen and pull the measure diagonally across the screen. Measure the corners of the screen rather than the bezel of the television.

1. Place the tape measure on the upper left-hand corner

   Hold the hook of the tape measure on the upper left hand corner of the television screen, just inside the bezel of the TV.

2. Pull the tape measure

   While holding the hook at the upper left hand corner, pull the tape measure diagonally across the screen. Stop at the edge of the screen, just inside the bezel of the television.

3. Record the number

   The tape measure component marks the length of the television screen. Record the number that the tape measure is showing.
