What is a PICO fuse?
By Forinfos - 28/11/2025 - 0 comments
A PICO fuse is a fast acting sub-miniature fuse that rates up to 250 AC volts. These fuses are commonly found in older televisions and, due to the high-voltage nature of these fuses, should be handled with the utmost care.
A PICO fuse does not follow a similar design to a blade fuse. Its design features two prongs that extend from the fuse body itself.
In order to test the continuity of a PICO fuse, each tip end must be fitted into a multimeter prong. Once each prong is situated, the fuse can be tested for connectivity. If the fuse does not show enough power, it will need to be repaired or replaced.
