Where are the touchpad settings on a laptop?

To access touchpad settings on a laptop with a Microsoft Windows 10 operating system, open the Settings app, click on Devices and then select Mouse & Touchpad. Touchpad settings on a Mac laptop are located in the System Preferences folder.

On a laptop with a Linux OS, users can access touchpad settings by clicking on Mouse and Touchpad under the Hardware section of the System Settings folder. Some touchpad settings available across all of these platforms include touchpad sensitivity, right- and left-hand settings, and scrolling options.

Users upgrading to Windows 10 from previous Windows versions may need to download Windows 10 mouse drivers from the Microsoft website for the touchpad to work properly.
