What is a temperature sensor?
By Forinfos - 27/09/2025 - 0 comments
A temperature sensor is a data gathering tool that measures the temperature in the surrounding area and converts the information for use by an observer or additional devices. Temperature sensors have a variety of applications from home use to specific scientific uses.
Although the best-known temperature sensor is the mercury thermometer, temperature sensors are available in a wide variety of styles, including wireless, resistant, infrared, industrial and analog. More complex sensors are often computerized to ensure the most accurate results possible. Ambient temperature is difficult to determine perfectly, so all temperature sensors have a margin of error built into their readings.
