What does the term break point mean in tennis ?
By Forinfos - 02/04/2025 - 0 comments
Break point is used in tennis to describe a situation where the receiver will win the current game if he wins the current point against the server. A single break point can, therefore, come at a score of 30-40 or advantage to the player receiving.
A player may have more than one break point. For example, a score of 0-40 means that the receiver has three break points; in other words, the server would need to win three consecutive points to take the score to deuce, whereas the receiver need win only one of those points to win the game.
