A term-time job is a type of job where the individual works on a contract basis to provide a certain amount of work each year. This is a term used primarily in the U.K. and is for part-time and full-time positions.
Term-time jobs have set weeks the worker works every year, which are already scheduled beforehand. To be considered a term-time job, the employee must not work more than 42 weeks in a calendar year. All the other weeks not designated to the job are considered non-working weeks. This is a working arrangement that is planned beforehand and excludes most major holidays. The number of hours to be worked in a term-time job depends on the job and company.
