Is there a test to find out if your favorite foods are causing migraines?

As of 2015, the only way to identify which foods trigger migraines is to keep a food diary, according to WebMD. It is difficult for medical professionals to identify specific foods that cause migraines, as problem foods are not the same for everyone.
Foods alone may not be migraine triggers but only cause problems when combined with stress or hormone changes, states WebMD. Some foods commonly blamed for causing migraines include alcohol, caffeine and chocolate. Food additives and foods with high levels of tannins and tyramine are also blamed for migraines. Foods high in tannins are apple juice, tea and red wine. Foods high in tyramine are aged cheeses, pork and soy-based foods.
